Great for chipping kindling off the edges of logs already split with a maul.

The bolt thread into the axe head was stripped from constant bashing. This one looks slightly better made to the untrained eye. They are great devices for splitting logs and creating kindling in a safe manner. The most difficult this is drilling the hole so that the post is nice and straight. However it doesn’t matter if it’s a little off.
