It was easy to assemble. The crate was damaged when it was delivered and the instruction manuals and ram handle were missing. I called Forest Master. The manuals were sent to me within ten minutes and the ram handle arrived next day.
I took it to my wood yesterday and put it to work. The engine isn’t overly noisy, though i did wear ear defenders. The engine is economical and the pile of logs at the end of the day was inpressive.I have an electric hydraulic splitter and it is has been very reliable (hence i bought from Forest Master again) but the FD ast fire is so much faster.
My only gripe is that I load my splitter onto a trailer and the track size of the front and back wheels is different which makes it a bit awkward on the ramps, but that’s down to the ramps rather than the machine.
I would recommend this splitter to anyone who needs a fast and capable machine.

I am so glad I went with the kinetic option due to the sheer speed and simplicity plus there’s no need for hydraulic oil.

Easy to move on the wheels. It is fast and powerful. Easy to use and has split 500mm lengths of seasoned Ash effortlessly.
It arrived on time.
You’ll need two people to lift and unpack it but once constructed and on the stand, you’re away.
I spent two hours on it and split more than I’ve done with an axe for two days AND felt good afterwards. What can I say? Even knotted wood splits after a couple of goes. Fully recommend.
