Good principle and good value within its limits. One M6 thumb screw missing (replaced from own garage stock) and retaining chains a little too tight on the uprights. A min. 20″ saw is needed for single pass cutting, but shorter saws (down to 12″) can be used with care. Length limits around 2m limbs. Could be tricky to use if less than 25cm logs wanted (stability and slack retaining chain hazard). I’d build my own non-adjustable out of wood, except this can be folded and tidied away and is lighter.

Basic design seems good but the side ply / plastic is flimsier than expected. (I already have one of the previous types) Instructions seem to be for an older model and are now incorrect as the ‘feet’ on the uprights don’t come off. Looking forward to seeing how it performs with wood in it.
