The FM5 5-ton Forest Master electric log splitter is a compact, lightweight log splitter and the ideal product for beginners or for those splitting logs for use in small to medium wood burners. It is best suited to splitting soft or green wood, which it does with ease and efficiency you can’t find in similarly priced log splitters.

The FM5 has a quick cycle time of 9 seconds making it the fastest small log splitter, it can split logs up to 300mm / 12 inches in length and fill a bag of logs within an hour.

The FM5 has a 2200W motor and produces 5 tons of splitting force, giving you more value for money and a wider option of logs to use in your woodstove, unlike other small log splitters which only have a 1500 watt motor and produce 4 tons of force and will only split the easiest of logs.

This log splitter is perfect for dealing with soft and/or green wood, if you are considering splitting hard or knotty wood, then please look at the FM10 series log splitters.

With its compact size and weighing approximately 32kg, 47kg including the workbench and safety guard it is easy to move around and store. It also comes filled with hydraulic oil, ready for use out of the box for maximum ease on your part. Just plug it in, and it’s ready to go.

The log splitter comes with a workbench and guard to comply with all new CE safety regulations. Our engineers have designed the safety cage to maximise ease of loading and unloading your logs, whilst keeping your safety paramount.

The FM5 can also be mounted on either our stand or our trolley;

Model FM5T comes with our stand which uses the rear wheels from the log splitter and has a simple foot at the front.

Model FM5TW comes with our trolley which has lockable castors on the front as well as using the rear wheels from the log splitter.

The FM5 can also be fitted with our DUOCUT^TM Blade (sold separately), fitting the Duocut^TM blade will reduce the max log length to 230mm

The FM5T-TC has a 2200W motor and produces a genuine 5 ton of force, unlike other small log splitters which only have a 1500 watt motor and produce 4 ton of force.

With it’s compact size and weighing approximately 32kg, it is easy to move around and store. To comply with the latest safety regulations it has button and lever operation. It is supplied filled with hydraulic oil ready for use.

The log splitter comes with a workbench and guard to comply with all new safety regulations. Unlike the safety cages used by other manufacturers, our guard has sides with no openings so that split logs cannot catch in an opening and cause damage. It will allow you to split logs up to 300mm* in diameter, wheres the cages used by other manufacturers will only allow logs up to 250mm diameter.

Model FM5T-TC comes with our universal log splitter stand, which uses the rear wheels from the log splitter and has a simple foot at the front.

The FM5T-TC can also be fitted with our Duocut^TM blade (sold separately), fitting the Duocut blade will reduce the max log length to 230mm.
